So, I kind of love the holidays.
Gift-giving, present-wrapping, song-singing, tree-trimming… I’m the quintessential Christmas man. There are limits to my love (I don’t have a particular affinity for holiday movies, nor do I embrace nog), but I’m pro-December’s holiday madness.
That being said, I have something for the season of giving: a Christmas Mix. There are so many wonderfully original songs being written about Christmas that get brushed over because department stores can only play the standards, or people don’t pay heed to what The Knife or Yeah Yeah Yeahs have to say about yuletide joy. Well, I want to share all the special songs I’ve found and fallen in love with, on a cute little mix as my gift to you.
How to get one
I will send a copy of my Chrismiss You mix to any US resident who comments to this blog post either with their favorite Christmas song, or expressing what they want most for the holidays. For the jews and Kwanzaa people just replace “Christmas” with whatever you celebrate (yeah, I’m looking at you, Pagan Solstice worshipers).
Make sure to include your e-mail or something so I can contact you about getting your snail mail addy. I’ll probably stop accepting comments for CDs around the 15th, to give myself enough time to send ‘em all out.
