APE out.

Uhhm, best fan ever?
It may be a year late, but I got an e-mail from a cool cat I met last APE who had promised to give me feedback on Books with Pictures after reading. One thing led to another, and like all good-intentioned e-mail, it fell into the recesses of his draft box.
Flash forward a year and re-connecting at this APE, and the e-mail is still around. Cool cat forgot that he had also taken a photo to show his enthusiasm for the BwP!
I’ve been lucky in my life to have a few people follow my work, but now I feel truly blessed. I also feel jealous of that mane he was sporting.

I had an excellent time at APE, thank you all for coming out and supporting all the indie creators! I know you could’ve gone and listened to Grizzly Bear at the Treasure Island Music fest, but you picked us instead. Thanks, man.

Space
My favorite thing about the weekend was being able to inhabit a single space every evening instead of hopping from house to house. There was a wonderful warehouse space waiting for me in Oakland every night, with four cats and conversations about Lars von Trier and beauty.
